DIY Rainbow Shorts

Hello everyone,

Long time no post - sorry!

My vacation started last friday and in a couple of days I'm going to California! I can't wait! AHHH!

Oh well, to get back to what this post is about - the shorts!

STEP ONE

Find a pair of jeans that you are willing to mess up. Try them on and make marks where you want to cut them. Make sure not to cut them too short, trust me! Been there, done that - NOT going back!

STEP TWO

Poor bleach and water in a bucket and let it work. The bleach will pull out the colour from the jeans and make them less blue.

STEP THREE

Find the different colours you want to use and mix with water.
Lay the shorts on a big piece of plastic. Make sure there is enough space on the plastic to turn the shorts so that you can colour the back of the shorts.

STEP FOUR

Start colouring the shorts in the different colours you want. ADVICE! Do NOT start with red in the middle - of you know what I mean girls ;-) I started with yellow and after that red and mixed thoose two so I got orange. After that red again and then purple and blue. After blue was green and then yellow, and so on.

After they are 90 % dry you can put them in the washer and then in the dryer.

Be VERY(!!) careful then you turn over the shorts - the colours may leak and can ruin the shorts completely!

And you are now the happy owner of a pair of Rainbow shorts!

Good luck!

Love always,

Camille

Sock up your hair! DIY + tutorial

Hello darlings!

Today I have a DIY and a tutorial for you. You probably already know the 'hair doughnut'.

If not, this is what it looks like. It is made out of a kind of foam and you wrap you hair around it and stick hair pins in it to hold the hairstyle.

A hair doughnut can be a little expensive, and one day I saw this very cool video on youtube. A girl made it on her own, and I wanted to do the same, just as the video stopped. It is free, fast and easy and a fantastic alternative to the "real" hair doughnut!

What you'll need to make your own hair doughnut:

  • Sock (a clean old tennis sock works perfectly fine!)
  • Pair of scissors
  • Bobbi pins
  • A pair of scissors

STEP ONE

Cut the "toe" part of the sock.

STEP TWO

Fold the sock until it looks like this.

STEP THREE
(the tutorial)

Make a high ponytail, almost on the top of your head.

STEP FOUR

Put your hair into the hole of the sock and start rolling the hair around the sock until you reach the elastic.

Pin the bun down so it holds better.

Take your fingers under the hair and pull out a little, ONLY A LITTLE!, to loosen the hairstyle.

And it should look like this in the end!

You can mist the hair with hairspray to make it hold better and longer.

Thank you to my beautiful model and dear friend, Sofie for letting me borrow har hair and camera.

You are a darling!

OUTTAKES

Hahaha.

I hope you found this helpful and try it out!

LOVE VS. HATE

Dear (Single?) Ladies,

Febuary 14th. Valentines day. Either you hate it or love it.

Reasons why you might LOVE february 14th
You have a boyfriend/girlfriend
You love chocolate
You love pink and red
You are a romantic person

Reasons why you migth HATE february 14th
You are single
You feel even more alone, than you did before
You hate chocolate
You are not a romantic person

I love the NB!

To the Single Ladies!

Things you can do if you are single on Valentine's day:

I LOVE all of theese movies!

1. Have a chick-flick marathon
A chick-flick can always brigthen up your mood. Invite over some friends and you can watch it all together.
Some of my favorite chick-flicks:

The Notebook

500 Days of Summer

Titanic

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

PS I Love You

2. Cook with your girlfriends
You and your single girlfriends are in the same situation as you, so why make a rather lonely evening to a fun and cozy one instead! Just because you not are in a relationship dosent mean that you have to be alone all night.

3. Do a at-home mani/pedi with your girlfriends
Some time with the girls is always a good thing. And why not make your nails pretty while you are at it?

Beyoncé knows what she is talking about.

Remember, no matter what:

And, happy valentines day!

Either if your day are going to look like this:

... Or like this:

Love always and take care,

Camille
